The last time that we have seen Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. was when he fought against “Vicious” Victor Ortiz at MGM Grand Arena Las Vegas Nevada for the WBC Welterweight Title. He had won that fight using his speed, skills and accurate punches to Ortiz. But anyway, I was shocked when I heard the latest news about the Mayweather Jr., he could be jailed for up to 18 months after deciding to plead guilty to lessen misdemeanor charges in a deal which resolves crime allegations that he battered his ex-girlfriend. I really can’t believe that he actually battered his ex-girlfriend.
He will face a $3,000 as fine and could be sentenced up to 18 months imprisoned in the Clark Country jail after agreeing guilty to one count of battery domestic violence and two harassment charges. Floyd had been facing an evidence hearing and a decision by Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa. It is whether to send him to trial on felony grand larceny, robbery charges, coercion, and misdemeanor domestic battery and harassment counts involving ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. If he was convicted of all those charges, he could face 34 years in state prison. What a long vacation in prison if it will happen, don’t you agree?
To give you more details of what Floyd had done, it had began from accusations that he hit and threatened his ex-girlfriend, stole her cell phone and threatened two of their children during a September 2010 argument about the woman dating another man. And not only that, he was also acquitted by a Las Vegas Judge in October of other misbehavior harassment charges alleging he threatened the lives of 2 other homeowner association security guards in another argument about parking ticket. There are a lot of problems he is facing right now, but still, he is known for his skills in boxing which given him a record of 42 wins, 0 losses, 26 knockouts.
